A huge congratulations to the boys and girls in 6th Class who received the sacrament of Confirmation on February 12th along with 6th Class from Scoil Mhuire Naofa in Rathfeigh. The children were confirmed by Bishop Tom Deenihan who spoke to the children about the importance of their faith and was generous with his time when confirming each individual pupil. There was wonderful style on show and the children were at the centre of the ceremony providing readings and song. Both schools contributed to the choir which was led by Carmel Reilly who put together an amazing repertoire of upbeat gospel influenced songs which added hugely to the atmosphere on the day. A special word of thanks to the Parents Associations of both schools for providing the refreshments afterwards and an opportunity for the school community to mingle.
